Friends of Burgess Park are working with idVerde, Southwark Ecology Officer Jon Best, and Southwark Council park’s maintenance contractor to plant a new woodland, and several new wildlife hedges.

Woodland area 2 Hazel Coppice 650 m2 = 430
Woodland area 3 Birch Scrub 840 m2 = 560 *Area 3 has some scrub already. Woodland area 4 Mixed native 435m2 = 300
Woodland area 5 Hazel Coppice 950 m2 = 630

Spacing 1.5 m
Total area 3,625 M2 = 0.36 ha.
